Brett Edwards – Photography
I was born on December 6, 1966. It was a Tuesday. 23 degrees which is quite cool for early summer.
In that week of December my parents were listening to Good Vibrations by The Beach Boys, my father drove a Mini Cooper dwarfed by a couple of surfboards on the roof. Life was good. I grew up on the beach, it became my baby sitter, my way of escape, and one of best friends. I know the Surf Coast and the beautiful Great Ocean Road like the back of my hand.
Photography started at a young age, but became a passion when I left town with a surfboard and a round the World ticket in the late eighties. A Three month trip unexpectedly turned into a adventure that lasted over ten years. No matter where I was in the world I was never far from home, and never without a camera.
Trying many career paths, I attended RMIT, where I studied hard whilst still working full time as a hand screen printer for the surf industry. I finished as a qualified prepress artist, printer with a major in photography.
And here we are. Multifaceted, experienced and easy to work with.
